IButton® is a robust data carrier that serves as an electronic registration number for automatic identification. Data is transferred in series using the 1-Wire® protocol, which requires only a single data cable and a Return ground. Each iButton is made by laser from the factory with a unique 64-bit registration number guaranteed to allow absolute traceability.
Resistance and Durability
The durable stainless steel iButton package is highly resistant to environmental hazards such as dirt, moisture and shock. Its compact coin-shaped profile is self-aligned with corresponding receptacles, allowing iButton to be used easily by human operators. Accessories allow the iButton to be mounted on almost any object, including containers, pallets and bags.
Composed of 01 reader unit and 01 iButton keychain unit, the iButton kit enables access and journey control in several applications, being commonly used in Telemetry applications for driver control.
